From my current Work in Progress (Im working on three separate books.) Ive been tagged in a writing game by Celeste Hansen. I was to go to the 7th page of my current WIP and then post the next seven lines. This novel is called On His Honor. Sobbing, JD pulled Cat from his brother’s arms and clutched her close to his chest as he fell to his knees once again. Bowing his head, he began to pray to the God of which his father had taught him, and the Great Spirit of which his grandfather had taught him. Pleading with God above, suddenly he felt a shaft of intense warmth move through the top of his head, down his arms and into his sister’s body. Not understanding, his eyes flew open, but he felt as if he were a conduit through which powers beyond his comprehension flowed down from heaven, through him, and into Cat’s body. He held her closer and continued to pray, even pleading to sources previously unknown, not understanding but feeling urged to continue. Joshua Davis Thomas prayed and prayed, and one by one, his brothers, as the magnitude of the event overcame them, fell to their knees and bowed their heads in prayer. Cat moaned and moved in his arms and JD almost dropped her, but Jackson was there once again to cradle her in his strong arms. “JD,” Jeremiah whispered and touched his arm. “What did you do?” Copyright 2014 by Candace E.
