From the 10th to the 17th of September the page will be a bit - TopicsExpress

From the 10th to the 17th of September the page will be a bit quiet as Im off on my holidays for the week. I will have limited internet access in this time but I will try and get online to check any messages and for any updates on appeals when I can. Im going to leave a list though of what to do if your pet goes missing or if you find a missing animal :) ***MISSING DOGS*** If your dog goes missing then make sure you contact the Police (101), Perth and Kinross Dog Warden (01738 476476), PADS kennels (01764 684491), SSPCA (03000 999 999) and any local vets to report your dog as missing. If your dog is micro-chipped then you must make sure your contact details are up to date on their micro-chip. Contact the following Facebook pages LostDogs-Scotland.org.uk and Missing dogs in Scotland as they will help further with Facebook appeals. Also contact the website Dogs Lost UK so your missing dog can be logged onto their database. ***LOST/FOUND DOG*** If you find a missing dog then you MUST contact the police (101) to report the dog as found along with Perth and Kinross Dog Warden (01738 476476). If you are able to then please take the dog to a local vet to scan them for a micro-chip. Vets will not charge for this if you say to them you have found a dog straying. Again, please contact the Facebook pages Lost Dogs Scotland, Missing Dogs In Scotland and the website Dogs Lost UK who will help you further with finding an owner. ***MISSING CATS*** If your cat has gone missing then contact Cats Protection Perth (0845 862 2206), SSPCA (03000 999 999) and all local vets. They can put your missing cat on their lost/found register and contact you if any cats come into their care fitting your cats description. If your cat is micro-chipped then make sure your contact details are up to date on your cats chip. Please contact the Facebook page Missing Cats In Scotland who will be able to give you further advice about finding your missing cat as well as doing a missing appeal. ***LOST/FOUND CATS*** If you have found a cat you suspect is lost then please contact Cats Protection Perth (0845 862 2206), SSPCA (03000 999 999) and all local vets to report as found. If you can take the cat to a local vet they will not charge for scanning for a micro-chip. If you come across a cat which has sadly been involved in an RTA, if you are able to then please wrap the cat up in a blanket and take them to a vet who will scan for a chip. I know it will be an upsetting thing to do but this will give the cat a much higher chance of being reunited with their family. Please contact the Facebook page Missing Cats In Scotland who can help with a found appeal. In this time if any other animals go missing apart from cats or dogs then please contact the SSPCA (03000 999 999) and all your local vets to report as missing. Again contact the SSPCA and all local vets if you find an animal which is not a cat or dog which you suspect is lost. We also have our other group Perth and Kinross Pets, Advice, Chat and Support if you wish to join and the long standing members of the page can offer further support and advice regarding numerous topics if needed. I hope what Iv written people will find helpful while Im away :) in the nicest possible way I hope you dont need my help and Im sure you all feel the same way lol I I will be around until later tonight if people need my help but after that Im not sure when I will have internet access. Please do follow the steps if needed which Iv outlined and contact the pages Iv recommended to help with appeals if you need one done :) xxx
