From the Latrobe Valley Express: Police are appealing for witnesses to a truck-versus-car incident in Morwell this morning, when an older model silver Magna was allegedly forced off the Princes Freeway. The incident occurred about 7.15am in the east-bound freeway lanes, just before it connects to the highway at the eastern end of Morwell. The Magna was forced onto the centre median strip, where it lost control on wet grass and hit a tree. The driver of the Magna was only able to give vague description of the truck, described as "possibly" a semi-trailer with tautliner sides. Any witnesses to the incident should phone Leading Senior Constable Shane James at Moe police on 5128 1100.
