From the NAPA CEO: NAPA LOs, I am please to announce that we have settled on our tournament times for the 2014 NAPA Nationals. This year we have plans to make it quite an ordeal with six events in all. The event will start on Friday, June 13 and end on Saturday, June 21. All of the events are open to ALL ages. It is a non-smoking venue. Smoking locations are right out side on the patio. This year the tournament hall is ONE room. No need to hunt down your table. They will all be together. There are seven elevators that will take you right from your room to the lobby and an escalator right down to the tournament hall. From anywhere in the hotel you are only about 90 seconds from your pillow to the tournament tables. No driving through traffic. No running from building to building. No flagging down cabs. Just head down and rack em! Since NAPA has complete control over the playing hall, this year, the room will be open 24-hours for late night minis. We will be starting off the nationals with a bang! This year were gonna throw a party out on the patio! Its a huge patio looking across the Skyline of Atlanta. An opening ceremony of sorts or a social, if you will. Come out, have a good time. Food, beverages, good-time chatter, and just a good ole time. The first action were going to start off with will be the singles 8-ball Championship. You must be qualified for 8-ball in order to participate. All ages. After the 8-ball event we will be bringing back an old favorite, the Team Captains Championship. This will be an 8-ball event as well. Any one who has qualified for the nationals as a team captain will be eligible for this event regardless which format they were a captain for. All ages. At the same time we will be having a new annual event! It will be the NAPA U-21 Championship. All qualified players under the age of 21 will be eligible regardless of the format they qualified for. These players can play in ALL of our other events as well. This is a new, special championship for them only. We encourage all of our juniors to attend. This will be an 8-ball event, as well. Following these two events we will glide into our singles 9-ball Championship. You must be qualified for 9-ball in order to participate. All ages. Closing the show will be our singles 10-ball Championship. You must be qualified for 10-ball in order to participate. All ages. And....yup...you guessed it at the same time we will be holding our first annual singles Laggers Choice Championship. Any qualified player can play in the Laggers Choice event. You do NOT have to have played Laggers Choice previously, you simply have to be qualified for one of our events. All ages. Its going to be an awesome time! There will be plenty of vendors in attendance along with some of your favorite pro players. + Opening Ceremony and Party: Thursday June 12 - 5:00pm ET til whenever. + 8-ball Championship: Friday June 13 - June 15 - 9:00am ET + Juniors Championship: June 16 - June 17 - 9:00am ET + Team Captains Championship: June 16 - June 18 - 9:00am ET + 9-ball Championship: June 18 - June 19 - 9:00am ET + 10-ball Championship: June 20 - June 21 - 9:00am ET + Laggers Choice Championship: June 20 - June 21 - 9:00am ET Schedule is subject to change. NAPA reserves the right to alter the schedule at any time. Photos and the official 2014 NAPA Nationals logo are available on the NAPA League Operators Facebook Group. Feel free to distribute this announcement and the logo as you like. Feel free to make fliers for the event as well, using the official logo. The official logo can NOT be used on any clothing apparel or any other type of product or merchandise without the expressed written consent of the North American Poolshooters Association. Event registration along with hotel registration will available to you online via the official 2014 NAPA Nationals web site which will be available to your players in the coming week. Do NOT book your rooms yet! There will be other details, prizes and specials available to you in regards to room bookings. Details on room night rates and specials will be announced this coming week. Now....what about the team championship?! We havent forgotten. NAPA has grown and grown and grown. The Team Championship is now going to be its own event along with...yup...you guessed it....Scotch Doubles! The date of the Teams Championship and Scotch Doubles will be announced very soon.
