From the Philosopher… #__FAILURE_THERAPY. The 2014 World Cup - TopicsExpress

From the Philosopher… #__FAILURE_THERAPY. The 2014 World Cup came with many dramas. For the first time in football history, so many coaches and world-class players tendered resignation to their football federations, owing to the fact of a poor outing on the ongoing tourney. These are people with promising careers submitting to a gruesome fate marked with Failure. Recently gone viral is the saying that: MEN DON’T PLAN TO FAIL BUT FAIL TO PLAN. In this saying, one truth can be deducted…NO MAN WANTS TO FAIL, but we still fail after all. However, with diligent planning, doggedness and discipline, failure can be reduced but can never be avoided. Mark my words…FAILURE CAN NEVER BE AVOIDED. I will tell you why and how to handle failure when it finally creeps in. Failure in my own definition is the inability of a being to prove he is competent to handle and prevail over challenges to arrive at his goals. If you agree with this definition above, then you should also agree with me that challenges are constant in life. Every day comes with its own challenges, every stage in life has its challenges,…in that life is a fabrication of challenges…like a rope that we climb unto till we reach our goals. And if we don’t reach at that goal, it is called FAILURE. The funniest thing is that failure confronts even God and Devil, cos both still faces challenges. The outcome of failure, worth scrutinizing though it can’t be en-wrapped in this treatise. Many have acted irrationally for failure. God once almost annihilated the world cos of a feeling called FAILURE. He saw his creation fallen apart from His intended goal, and thus angrily plunged into destroying the world with deluge. Failure is the X-factor of suicide in the world today. Failure has caused some mental instability, ailment, ruin relationships, lead to demeanor, ruin characters of many, enhanced laziness, bred despondency & depression, caused accidents, and permanent torment of inferiority complex. Inasmuch I agree that planning alleviates FAILURE, but I warn it is not the solution to failure. In fact, whether you plan well or not, failure must come; and failure becomes more threatening when we even imployed our best to succeed. My colleague, Solomon of blessed memory said in the Holy Writ: “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to the men of skill…but time and luck happen to them all.”—Eccl. 9:11-12. My dear, when you fail, don’t always blame yourself, there is a TIME FACTOR and a LUCK FACTOR in everything we do. What makes us triumph is OUR APPROACH TO THE REPROACH. How do you handle failure when it finally sets? #FAILURE_SHOULD_NOT_DISSUADE_US_TO_GIVE_UP_OUR_GOALS__BUT_SHOULD_PERSUADE_US_TO_CHANGE_OUR_STYLES_TO_REACHING_OUR_GOALS. Every reproach is answerable to a certain approach. If your approach is not producing results change that approach. It is only a mad man that keeps doing the same thing and expects a change. Failure should only affect us physically, but shouldn’t affect us spiritually. To win, you must be steadfast in what you believe (spiritually), even if you have to change patterns (physically), that’s the best way to overcome. One way of winning failure is being positive in the mind always no matter the tally of failure around you. If you believe, nothing is INFEASIBLE, then no failure can stop you. What do you believe, when you fail often times? Running away from challenges is not the best. Once that mentality develops, the runner ends up running into the camp of INFERIORITY COMPLEX. I have so much to say, but I will stop here for time being. But remember, no challenge that you face is more than you…Pray that God will show you LUCK, with His grace acting as luck by your side, I see you excelling and prevailing.
