From the Registrar of Voters Office: The high school student - TopicsExpress

From the Registrar of Voters Office: The high school student voter registration program for 2014 is scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2014 at both Fermi HS and Enfield HS. Registration of students who will turn 18 by Tuesday, November 4, 2014 will take place during all three cafeteria periods, 10:55 am to 12:20 pm. History Department Head Sean Crane is coordinating voter registration at both high schools. For the first time in state history, high school students (with CT DMV licenses) will be registering to vote using the Secretary of the State’s new online voter registration system. Paper registration forms will be used for students that do not yet have a Connecticut driver’s license. This is going to be a very interesting process to observe, using common internet technology, which is intended to streamline the current voter registration process. At Fermi HS, voter registration will take place in the cafeteria. At Enfield HS, voter registration will take place in two computer labs, B103 and B104. Online voter registration at sots.ct.gov just went live late last month. Enfield could be one of the first school systems in the State of Connecticut to implement this new system.
