Brunet thought of the concept for the song after attending a ...speech about how todays music industry is changing from an entertainment lawyer named Ken Abdo, mixed in with Brunets own feelings of never giving up on writing, producing and mixing audio for a living. Brunet brought the idea to Keith Rush. The two met in the studio with a blank piece of paper. 9 hours later, the lyrics for Keiths versus were fully written and fully tracked. Brunet tracked the chorus and bridge vocals with Alex Steele about a month later. Brunet approached Steele after attending a Roster McCabe show. Completely impressed by the vibe at their show. He knew Steele would be a great fit for the song. Keith and Alex are very talented at what they do, I love co-writing with Kieth and working with Alex was a great time.
