From the campaign: “NOM denies that Paul and Ben, two men, can together have a ‘child,’ as that is a biological impossibility.” Thats what the National Organization for Marriage just said about Paul and Ben, plaintiff couples in Oregons historic marriage case. In a desperate attempt to intervene in the case Paul and Ben have filed alongside three other couples challenging Oregon’s marriage ban, NOM submitted briefs to the court this week—and they called Paul and Ben—and their young son—an impossibility. It’s bad enough that the radical, D.C. based organization is encroaching on Oregon. It’s bad enough they’re trying to tell Oregonians what to do. But personally demeaning a loving family and their eight-year-old son, by name? That’s downright offensive.
