From the mentor/ old teacher/ brother Henderson Maddox Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak. Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained. Through hard work, perseverance and a faith in God, you can live your dreams. There is nothing more I could speak to my past students! Worry not about the hand you been dealt but about what you will do to change your circumstances. I have tears of joy right now as I just finished watching a former students film. Jeral Clyde was always the little guy with the tough trouble maker heart, If I could pick one to be the most successful I would couldnt have even been close to guessing Mr. Clyde. He is the director of the film A Product of Me which speaks volumes to the youth of todays society. The film is heart-throbbing depiction of the struggle of being in a bad environment and the challenges our youth face. Something that should be shown in every classroom in the urban environment. I ask you fb family to support his movement by checking out the online screening. This is only the beginning of his career and I cant wait to see the next film as he travels down this journey. Your mother is so proud of you! She is in heaven right now smiling. Always remember If I am to be, what I want to be, Its up to me! You have truly broken the mold and cracking the glass ceiling in which they thought they trapped you under. Keep soaring reach for the crowds and live your dreams! And even when you think you have everything you want keep dreaming! Start a legacy that will live own for centuries.
