From the review of Nigerian history and perhaps that of most - TopicsExpress

From the review of Nigerian history and perhaps that of most developing countries, most individuals at the helms of affairs in the political- and business class in the past four or five decades, from my point of view, were either appointed and forced upon the electorate to be elected or were helped to forcefully take over power, by the extreme right-wing of the West for a single purpose: to to discourage or destroy any meaningful developmental plan in their country that seems to be against their vested interest or threatens the survival of their economy. There is no doubt in my mind that, the these individual groups are the cause most of the havoc and turbulence that are currently being experienced by the poor, desperate and suffering Nigerians. Since the political climate in Nigeria was less divisive before Nigeria got his independence, sometimes I do wonder if history would or wouldnt condemn the generation that caused the first civil war in Nigeria, since, it seems to be a general belief that, each new generation forms the vital link between past and future, and is charged with the responsibility of passing their father land and its cultural and natural endowed treasures to their children and grandchildren in sound order. To most, its been obvious that the Boko Haram era has been and is still a crisis in Nigeria that is not going away anytime soon, whether we wish it to or not. In fact, its fast becoming a new normal, which is quite disturbing and a such, those in the political class, including the military and business leaders, who thinks they are gaining or thinking of seeking gains either personally or party wise at the expense of poor, desperate, suffering Nigerians, in my opinion, are reprehensible. Although, world wide, we all know that, politics has always been intense and that ideological differences were often real, but based on the current level, as it is in today Nigeria, there are reservations about sincere willingness, on the part of the present political class, to not use the current crisis as political football, which some say are hampering good proposals that might successfully bring an end to the crisis.
