Front Range Colorado folks: Fletcher needs rehoming. He is a 3.5 year-old male neutered Golden/Collie mix, who is smart, trained to basic cues, and sweet natured. Fletch is very alert and compliant--he has a 1/2 hour Leave it! that will make you weep! He hikes, he jogs with his mom, walks nicely on leash, plays well with other dogs, (goes to day care, too). The young couple adopted him from a rescue in VT, and raised Fletcher from a puppy. They love him and have put a lot of time and effort into training him. They recently moved here, with a 1-year old baby who is just learning to walk. Despite their efforts since the baby came, and the trainers work over the last two months, Fletcher has never bonded with the baby, and is visibly anxious when the baby is nearby. Since the baby is becoming more and more mobile, and the couple expects their family to grow in the future, theyve decided that Fletcher needs to be in an active home, but with older, or no, children.
