Full Day Block Island Fluke and Sea Bass Capt Carl reports another solid day fishing for fluke and sea bass in Block Island. In the first minute of the first drift Tasso Tsiatis slammed a doormat fluke over 8lbs. We steadily picked away at quality keeper fluke for the whole morning, many around a little bit here and there. There was some sea bass in the mix as well as giant scup, one striped bass, one blue fish and even one codfish! We did get dogged out of some areas which hurt our sea bass totals but everyone had some. Tommy Alexopolous did work totaling 8 keepers (orl) to 6lbs. The man of the day however was none other than Steve Bento with 7 keeper fluke (orl) and the pool winning fluke of 8.27lbs, barely edging out Tasso’s 8.21 pounder! Steve also took the Sea Bass pool with a huge 5.17lber!
