Function to celebrate the successful realization of India’s Mars Orbiter Mission – Mangalyaan Ambassador Shri Arun K Singh, hosted a reception on October 21, on the successful realization of India’s Mars Orbiter Mission – Mangalyaan. A slide show and short film on Mars orbiter mission were screened during the reception. Mr Jean-Yves Le Gall, President, CNES and Mr Stephane Israel, CEO and Chairman, Arianespace addressed the gathering and complemented India for this significant achievement. President, CNES also highlighted the co-operation between India and France in the field of space research during the last 50 years. The function was also attended by space scientists from different countries, government officials, industrialists and media personnel. In his address, Ambassador Arun K Singh emphasized the importance of working together for the development and use of space technology for societal applications. He thanked the representatives from different space agencies for their valuable support to the Indian space programme.
