Funding - British Academy Skills Acquisition Awards The British Academy is currently inviting applications from early career scholars normally within ten years of the award of their doctorate, and in an established academic post, to apply for the BA Skills Acquisition scheme. The Academy intends, through this scheme, to support individual early career scholars allowing them to spend time on specific career-enhancing skills acquisition. The scheme enables researchers to spend time with a mentor in a research group specialising in quantitative methods, and will provide some funding to meet the cost of a mentor. Application forms for this scheme must be submitted via the e-GAP system. Intending applicants need to register in the system (if not already registered) and should access full details by following the links to ‘funding schemes’ from the personal welcome page, and then the link to ‘Skills Acquisition Awards – 2013-14 Round. Level of award: Awards do not exceed £10,000. Deadline: 30 October 2013
