Further to our posts this week on atypical myopathy we would like to draw everyone’s attention to the following links from The University of Liege. The group at Liege are leading research into atypical myopathy and need everyone’s help in identifying cases. The links below also contain a lot of general information for those interested in finding out more about the disease. This European epidemiosurveillance system allows scientific groups that are working together on this disease to know where and when cases occur so that the data and samples that are needed for research can be collected. Atypical myopathy is a condition of environmental origin that kills 75% of horses within 72 hours so it is vital that this research receives our support. Owners can find more details on atypical myopathy here... labos.ulg.ac.be/myopathie-atypique/all-the-alerts/ Owners can also follow the below link to report cases... myopathieatypique.fr/en/declarer-un-cas/questionnaire-proprietaire/
