As a chapter, consider hosting a screening and panel discussion of the film described below, Hate Crimes in the Heartland. The first link takes you to a trailer of the film, and the second link to an interview with an African American psychologist who lived through the savage KKK brutalization and killing of African Americans. I can imagine a panel composed of UDC faculty and students from psychology, law, social sciences/history, and media.
