GA is under a state of emergency. People have been stuck in cars for 12+ hours and children, teachers have spent the night at schools (praying that these babies arent traumatized because they may have never been away from their parents). I blame the State of GA, counties and corporations for not dismissing people before noon. I blame the state and counties 100% for being ill prepared to pull the emergency contingency triggers sooner and lack of road safety. With that said we (GA residents) need to take a look into our personnel priorities. The news talked about this snow storm since Sunday, if not before. My family had a discussion about taking this storm seriously, Brandon lived here for the ice storm and sat me down to explain that GA is NOT equipped. Getting to work yesterday was not a priority, making sure my home and family was safe, secure and prepared IS my priority. Lets get back to basics and think about who and what is important.
