GARMBLING RAMBLING: EMPATHY! Termites are no longer an issue. Had some good moments—some very good moments, but then –a toothache! I thought my whole head was going to pop off. I reclined. I sat up. I walked. I breathed in my hand so warm air could hit it. Still, horrible shooting pain! Could it be something lodged under my bridgework? I dont know. It hurts too much to check! Ok. This is what I am going to do. This pill that says, “Take one,”--- I am taking two. That Ora-gel that looks like it is as old as I am—I am using it! I am going to get some relief! Every plan I had for today has been pushed back. Then, a thought comes to mind. I think about those in extreme or lengthy physical or emotional pain. The Realization: Pain will make you break some rules you may have not thought about breaking before. So, am I now condoning irresponsible, self-destructive behavior? No, however, I am realizing more and more the need for empathy, the need for understanding--- that pain will make you break some rules you may have not thought about breaking before. Yes, I need to go to the dentist. No, I do not want to. Yes, I probably will! Gotta go, Grambling, while those two pills and old Ora-gel are still working!
