GCCS GRADE 8S Chapel Updated 6 minutes ago This morning’s chapel by Mrs. Scheerer’s Grade 8 class was, like the earlier Grade 8 chapel, one of the highlights of the year! The presentation was so well developed, polished and presented in such a passionate yet thoughtful manner that it brought tears to many eyes! The students explored their graduation theme verse from Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you through worship songs, liturgical dance, personal reflections and short dramas. Between the skits, we had reflections on the theme verse from a number of students. These were refreshingly thoughtful, and surprisingly mature. They were beyond the easy answers that often come up in young people’s activities. The presentation ended with the group performing a Responsive Reading: Jesus, You Stand With Me, and reciting their grad theme verse together. This chapel was a beautiful endorsement of the time these grade 8 students have spent at Guelph Community Christian School. It was also a wonderful encouragement to all of the staff who have worked with this group of students over their time here. Thank you Grade 8 !
