GENERAL SUPERIORS VENERABLE Mother Mary Carmen Rendiles Founder 08.11.1903 / 05.09.1977 Born in Caracas on 11 to August 1903, deeply Christian parents; is the third of nine children who brought the world this devoted couple. Join the Congregation of Handmaids of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, the French-born February 25, 1927. After being trained in the ways of the religious life is sent to France for two years to further consolidate their training. On his return in 1934, is responsible for the formation of novices. In 1942 it underwent a serious operation in 1944 still recovering is sent to Valencia-Venezuela to undertake the first house of the Congregation subsidiary. Two years back again to Caracas to take care of the Mother House and the Congregation in Venezuela as their Mother Superior Angela Mendoza has to stay in France to hold the office of Vicar General. When she returns from France, Mother Carmen continues his charge. A she must contend with for 10 years the ordeal, when in France you attempt to convert the Congregation for Secular Institute. Together with the ecclesiastical authorities and their daughters manages to maintain the Congregation as she knew. In 1966 Rome issued the decree of separation from the Mother House of France, leaving the sisters in America as a new congregation. Mother Carmen is named first Superior General, a position he held with dedication and hard until the end of his life. On May 9, 1977, after an exemplary life died in the odor of sanctity. This death became vibrant eco as the known fact: a saint is dead!
