GET A DEGREE: Employers indicate high school diploma not enough That college degree still means something. A new survey indicates positions that used to require just a high school diploma are increasingly being filled by college graduates. CareerBuilder says that 27 percent of employers have raised their educational requirements in the last five years. Employers feel they get a better return on investment from their college-educated employees. More than 2,000 hiring managers participated in the survey. Among those who changed their education requirements, 56 percent said they saw higher quality work from college grads.
