GET YOUR TIGER FIX Well, if your Tiger baseball season ended abruptly as mine did, perhaps youd like to extend it by reliving a beautiful moment that occurred 30 years ago this week. That October Sunday started with Mom and I having breakfast at Big Boys on Jefferson Ave then walking over to Belle Isle where we waited for Dad to finish the Free Press Marathon. I then enjoyed watching the game at my in-laws with my sons Ryan (5) and Nathan (nearly 1). After the game we were entertained with impromptu firework shows while driving back home through Troy and Madison Heights. Spoiler alert: the 2:12 mark is a good place to watch if you dont have much time. Tiger Stadium looks so familiar but plain; no flag bunting or World Series scripting on the field ... and no high definition TV! My goodness, how can 30 years pass so quickly?
