GHANA CITIZENS LOOKING TO VISIT SAUDI ARABIA NEED TO PROVIDE FINGER PRINTS BOTH FOR HAJJ AND UMRAH VISAS FOR WHICH SAUDI ARABIA EMBASSY SIGNED AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES FOR THE SAME News Date: 14th January 2014 The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Accra, says it has signed contracts with international companies to make the necessary arrangements to collect finger prints and facial images of travellers to the country. A statement issued in Accra by Mr Mohammed Nurudeen Ismaila, Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and copied to Ghana News Agency on Monday said this would allow all entry visa applicants intending to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to undergo such processes before receiving visas. It said the services would include Hajj and Umrah visas. The VFS International Company has been contracted to undertake these services. The statement said the recording of images and fingerprints is aimed at reducing waiting period at the border crossing points (entrance) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It said this would improve the performance and organisation of the offices of the visa service centres in order to provide better and high quality services for visa applications. It said the services could be accessed at No.9 Kakramadu Road, East Cantonments (next the Goethe Institute). The visa application centre has been in operation since December 30, 2013.
