GMSA GENERAL ELECTION The 2014 GMSA GENERAL ELECTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN OPENED. Asalamu Alaikum, Nominations are open for the various portfolios of GMSA - KNUST. From the amended constitution, the process has been modified a little towards the sunnah of Prophet (S.A.W). As from now, one cannot pick froms BY HIMSELF or HERSELF TO VIE FOR ANY POSITION as per sunnah. What will now happen is that, someone will have to pick forms to nomnate another person he or she deems fit to handle a particular position (first and final years can nominate but cannot be nominated, graduates can neither nominate nor can be) without the norminees knowledge. It means that, one cannot ask another to nominate him or her for a position, the initiative has to come nfreely from the one nominating. The forms are available for DOWNLOAD ON THIS WEBSITE. Downloaded and Printed forms are to be filled by the nominator nominating the candidate. Completed forms are to be submitted with GMSA dues receipts(of the nominator) for 1 semester to the Electoral Committee of GMSA. I fully understand that, the process is a bit involving but as muslims, let us strive to practice the ways taught by the messenger of Allah (S.A.W). Anyone who strives sincerely for the sake of ALLAH will be rewarded by Allah. It is my plea that, we take time off our busy schedules to assess those we may consider as potential executives of GMSA, pick out the BEST ONES and nominate them for the progress of the muslim Ummah!
