GOD IS A GOD OF ORDER God gives TO the church through people. God is a God of order. Order PRECEDES life and freedom. Intercessors submit to Gods order by submitting to the pastor and the vision that the Lord gives the pastor. Acts 9:6-God speaks to Paul, blinds him, then tells him to go into a city, and that hell receive further instructions there. Why doesnt the Lord just deal with Paul right there and then? Because he has a created order, and He works His works through men and women. Paul had to learn, that to reach God, he had to go through man. This is Gods order. Jude 1:6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgement of the great day. Whenever we seek to break the order of our church, we leave our proper place and enter a realm kept in eternal bonds under darkness. We need to honor the order that the Lord has placed in the church; its for our blessing, our benefit, our safety. How about Cornelius? (See Acts Chapter 10) An angel appears to this Roman centurion in a dream and tells him that a man named Simon Peter is going to explain the way of salvation. Why doesnt the angel just tell Cornelius how he must be saved? Why doesnt the Lord just appear to men and women everywhere himself, telling them to repent and follow Him? God honors the order He created. And we learn how to submit to a man or a woman whom God places in authority and uses for His service. We are blessed to have a pastor who appreciates and values the intercessors in the house. And so we would want the same for every house that calls itself a follower of Christ; a pastor who esteems their intercessors and encourages their contribution to the life of the body. Intercessors, on the other hand, must know the vision of the senior person, and pray in accordance with the vision that the Lord gave that person, NOT their own agendas. In this way, they are welcoming Jezebel and the spirit of division. Intercessors must accept that the responsibility for guiding the church in the appropriate direction comes from God to the leader of the house, and then pray for the fulfillment of that vision. However, when an intercessor assumes that their prophetic witness is the guiding light of the church, or when they stand apart from the church leader and offer a different vision than what the leadership presents, it is actually Jezebel infiltrating that church to bring division. Francis Frangipane The senior leader/pastor, (along with those he/she appoints to co-labor as those directing the vision), has the responsibility to incorporate into the church structure the vision that the Lord brings to him/her. How do we guard ourselves against this spirit? How do we, as intercessors, and members of this Body, effectively pray and see the will of God released in our midst, and in the city? James 5:16 The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Honor the order that God has established in our church. Do not open the door to false authority, or dishonor the authority God has established, through gossip and dissension. Pray the WORD over Bishops, Prophets, Pastors, Ministers of the Word and the Elders. Pray the vision of the house and see the church come into all of the destiny that God has for us. John 17:20...“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message.. SHALOM
