GODS WORD FOR TODAY Hebrews 4:10 (KJV) For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. When you study the account of creation in Genesis Chapter one, youll observe that God created man on the sixth day, in His own image and likeness, after He had created everything else. Satisfied, the Bible says He rested from all His works on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2). When God was done creating man, everything was ready. Mans first day on earth was Gods day of rest. God finished all the work before Adam was formed. Adam was born into rest. This was Gods purpose and intent for man at the beginning. Man is supposed to function from a position of rest; free from stuggles, anxieties, turmoil and hardship. No wonder Paul said in Phillipians 4:6, be anxious for nothing-have no worries! If you found yourself struggling through life, though youve been born, you can change it. God made you for His pleasuere; He created you to be pleased and happy about you. Thats why He has given you all things richly to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). Also, He has given you all things that are related to life and godliness-both materially and spiritually (2 Peter 1:3). If youve been struggling and battling in life, embrace Jesus rest. Take His yoke and learn from Him, youll find rest for your soul (Matthew 11:28-29). Be Blessed! #inspirationgospel
