GOD’S DUE TIME ” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time ” 1Peter 5:6. L.M.Boyd the writer writes about a real incident:: ” In 1949, Jackwarm an unemployed youth was walking in despair along the seashore in San Francisco. At that time, a glass bottle was floating along the waves and came near his feet. When he opened that bottle, he saw a paper. He read that and it was a Will written by Daisy Spenser. The contents of the Will was:” Whoever finds this bottle, let him approach my lawyer BaeriGohen. Half of my property should go to my lawyer and the other half to the person who finds it “. When Jack approached the court, they honoured the Will and Jackwarm became a wealthy person in that town. The bottle which was thrown in the Thames river 12 years before, made Jack a rich man. Jacob deceived his father and his brother and when he left his home, he was in a state of frustration. But, God’s mighty was upon him, when he was in his uncle Laban’s house. He worked hard and God’s mighty hand lifted him up. We often worry about our position and status, hoping to get proper recognition for what we do. But, Peter advises us to remember that God’s recognition counts more than human praise.God is able and willing to bless us according to His Timing. Let us humbly obey God regardless of present circumstances, and in His Good Time, He will lift us up either in this life or in the next. When we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, He is all powerful to lift us up in His Due Time ” Dear Lord, let me cast my worries upon You and have faith in Your mighty power. Let me not submit my anxieties to the circumstances, but to You who controls the circumstances, In Jesus’ Name I pray “,–Amen.
