GOODLUCK JONATHAN DECLARES IN A GRAND STYLE The much expected declaration to run for the Presidential Election for a second term in office was done in a Grand style today at the Eagle Square. The Declaration to accept calls by various groups, organizations and individuals that Goodluck Jonathan, the current President of Nigeria should declare his intention to run under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party has finally come to pass in a very Grand style. The Eagle Square was overfilled with supporters from all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The Eagle Square and its environ were filled with high number of humans as they came to hear from the mouth of their dynamic president to accept the calls from various quarters to run for the Nations number one position under the greatest Party in Africa, the Peoples Democratic Party for a second term because of his great and countless achievements. While declaraing, the president counted some of his achievements which includes, the provision of modern Railway system across the Nation, Modern International and local Airport facilities, Creation of jobs, Construction of Mass housing programmes, Abuja Light Rail systems, Achievemnt in Transportation, Construction programmes of the Centinary city, in Oil and Gas supply improvements, Installation of thousands of Kilometres of Gas pipelines for the distribution of Oil and Gas, improvement in fuel distribution, thereby eliminating shortage in supplies, Development in Agriculture, elimination of corrupt practices in fertilizer supply, Farmers use mobile phones to access supplies of Agricultural activities, encouraging young farmers to go into Agriculture He further made it clear that corruption hhas been eliminated in the civil service, Establishment of new Universities, Construction of modern Roads, Construction of thousands of Almajiri Schools in the Northern parts of Nigeria. He further highlighted how his government fought Ebola to a standstill. He also enumerated that there is rapid economic Growth in the country, that Nigeria is 26th highest in Economic growth. Promises to sanitize the Electoral system, by making individual votes count. Fighting Terror will be won with the support of all Nigerians, FREEDOM OF INFORMATION BILL ETC Applying the 35 affirmative action among women in all aspects of the economy including restoring women to rise to the rank of General which was not the case before Jonathan.
