GOV ROTIMI AMECHI A WANTED MAN IN GHANA?On my resent visit to Ghana I put up in one of the hotels along the atlantic shores. My hosts where some old friends turned politicians in the country. In the course of our discussion I found out that everything seems to be falling apart for Gov Amechi even in Ghana, this I believe must be very key for his deadly quest to be in Aso rock by all means come 2015.Ghana is the country where Gov Amechi invested most of the funds he stole from River state while he remained in the state as a speaker and later Governor. No wonder he ran to Ghana when our vocal OBJ accused him in Elekahia stadium in Portharcourt of being a criminal as the sum of 50billion was seen in his account and denied him PDP primaries. OBJ might not always be right but looking at Amechis past as Odili’s house boy in Pamo clinic in 1998. Obj might not be far from the truth.Governor Amechi built a state of the art refinery worth over $3billion dollars in Ghana. He is said to have so many choice properties all over Ghana. This justifies why Jerry Rawlings is always his Guest in state house Portharcourt. luck ran against over ambitious Amechi when he aligned forces with the opposition against the present President of Ghana. Amechi became their chief sponsor, throwing River State moneyas spanners on the works of the incumbent president. The Ghanaian president with his resent victory has confiscated the refinery which is Amechi’s main investment and declared him wanted for money laundry. Amechi hopes that he can use his would be powers in Aso rock to stay off Jail unlike Ibori and if possible get back his refinery. I might not be an ardent supporter of GEJ,but one wonders if this thief amechi is justified to preach change in a corrupt country like ours. Precedent should teach our leaders that by stealing from the poor masses their gain is short lived. They rob themselves freedom, happiness, contentment, they make their generations poor, drug addicts as the stolen funds will always be mismanaged. A man should not acquire more than he really needs, when he does let it be for charity. From chinyelugo Okemmonwu
