GOVERNMENT OF GOMBE STATE MUST CHECK MILITARY EXCESSES IN GOMBE TOWN! The military in Gombe is seriously crippling the economy of the state and subjecting people to hardship as a result of total blockage of the major road known as Biu Road being a Federal Road that linked Bauchi-Gombe-Borno and some parts of Adamawa. The Military is fond of beating citizens and blocking roads after Boko Haram attacks but, they hardly abort most of the attacks. It is the same Military that will later turn to be complaining that the people are not feeding them with intelligent reports. It is important to remind the authorities the need to call on the attention of the Military to respect the freedom of the citizens and open up the access road that has paralyzed business activities in Gombe State. We are all aware that poverty and injustice is the root cause of Boko Haram, further deprivation and frustration of citizens may adversely be affecting the fight against insecurity. HENCE, WE ARE NOT UNAWARE OF THE FACT THAT THE POSITIONING OF THE QUARTER GUARD AND THE BARRACKS AT THE PRESENT LOCATION IS IMPROPER AND AN ACT OF (HUMAN SHIELD) USING CIVILIANS TO SHIELD THE MILITARY.
