GOVERNORS ISLAND Governors Island is popularly visited because of the View Deck Area and sowed as the highest peak of the Hundred Islands. Visitors must take the 380 steps stairway to reach the view deck and see the breathtaking scenic view of the Hundred Islands National Park. Guests may also try the newest island adventure, a half kilometer island to island (Governors Island to Virgin Island) zipline that would provide the most thrilling experience at a very affordable rate. Notable improvements are also worth highlighting: the rehabilitation of the stairs and the public rest rooms which were co-sponsored by the City Government and the Provincial Government of Pangasinan headed by Hon. Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. Likewise, the City Government installed a concrete island marker which also functions as photo landmark area and constructed a 15 ft. statue of St. Joseph the Carpenter and the child Jesus. Saint Joseph is Citys Patron Saint.
