GREAT POLICE WORK! ARMED ROBBERY w/APPREHENSION: The victim was jogging to work in the 5200 block of E. 56th St. when a silver Chevy Impala stopped and 2 B/Ms got out and approached him. They put a gun to the victims neck and began to pat him down taking what was in his pockets and his backpack which contained a cell phone, clothes and a debit card. The suspects then got back into the silver Impala and fled the scene. The victim ran to the Speedway gas station at 4960 E. 56th St and called police. A short time later Off. Sedam observed a vehicle matching the description at E. 56th St. /Arlington Av. Off. Sedam along with back up officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle that was occupied by 3 B/M. Robbery responded to the scene and conducted a show up of the suspects at which time the victim positively identified at least one of the subjects. This vehicle was seen earlier in the evening acting suspicious at Thornton’s at 82nd/Dean. An officer conducted an investigation on them at that time and made note of the subjects inside as well as the plate on the vehicle. This was the same vehicle that was involved in this robbery. The suspects were transported to the robbery office.
