GREEN BERETS: CALL TO ARMS: Some team mates from my A-Camp in Vietnam, ODA-242 at DAK PEK want me to host a Dak Pek Reunion at my 200-acre ranch south of Florence, Colorado later this summer. Joe Lopez brought it up and will be there from Texas. Commo Willy Don and Teressa Williams are coming from Kansas. I am certain that James L. Selders and Joseph K. Dietrich will come from OKC and Tampa Bay respectively. How many of you ever served at Dak Pek and would like to come? I know that my active duty SF sons will attend, SFC Brent Bx and SFC Joshua Bendell. I hope the late-Tom Weeks brats, Kim Weeks and Tommy Weeks might attend. Maybe we can get Kyung Weeks to come, too. Comment here please if you are coming. If you were in the Mike Force and fought at Dak Pek or were in MAC-V-SOG and launched out of our camp, you are invited, too. Also if you were a Bird-dog FAC, C7A Caribou pilot, for chopper jockey that flew support for us, you are also welcome. That would include Dustoff Pilot Jon Dienlin and his child-bride Bev and Mark Towne who flew for the Gladiators. We will have a big BBQ picnic, games, Ill set up some sight-seeing stuff such as the Royal Gorge Bridge, Florence is the Antique Capital of Colorado, so if you are into that you can do a lot of shopping, etc. If you would like to do that later this summer, comment here and spread the word. We need a head count and let is know how many family members. If your budget is tight, you can set up camp on my ranch. Please respond ASAP, so we can decide to do it or not. I will share this on a private SF site, and if you want to come, come here to my page to list your name and how many coming, and when you served at Dak Pek or how connected. Those who do not know me, I was XO-CAPO at Dak Pek from June 1, 1968 until I was medevaced out to Japan and then the States in March, 1969. I also had an additional duty as District Coordinator for the Dak Pek and Dak Sut districts for the TS Phoenix Program, and I wrote about Dak Pek in CROSSBOW and 3 other books. Please respond now.
