GROWING UP IN THE SIXTIES, TAKING IT TO THE STREETS We were hippies who believed in peace and love, not war. But when called upon went to war and gave our lives for this country. When we saw how unjust that war was, we took to the streets in protest and ended that war. We were black men and women who were told to sit at the back of the bus. Told that, because of the color of our skin, we were somehow inferior to the ruling class. Once again, we took it to the streets and gained our freedom. Growing up in a time of wanting peace, but having war. In a time where I believed all men and women were created equal and at the same time having to watching them die for their equal rights. It saddens me that present day we stand idly by and do nothing while a different kind of tyrant robs us of our peace and happiness in this county. Never, in all my 63 years of living on Gods green earth have I seen a greater need for political change here. Vote for change, but, if voting doesn’t work then take it to the streets. PEACEABLY Demand Change.
