GSMST Secret #136: Today was a very interesting day at GSMST. Some of the students know that a certain student passed out at school today. I am that student and this is my story (Tl;DR at end for lazy people). I walked into Herschs 3rd period class this morning shortly before 10 AM. Like any other day, I walked to my desk and took a seat. I got out my notes and prepared to take the reading quiz. However, unlike other days, my stomach was feeling a little queasy. It didnt seem like it was going to be anything particularly irritating as I was fine a couple minutes before and I was sure the feeling would pass. But when I was taking the quiz, I started to realize that the feeling was only getting worse. Still, I had hopes that it would go away. After we all finished the quiz, Hersch began his lecture on the White House staff and I started to write down notes. By this point, I began to feel so nauseated that I needed to go to the restroom. So, I asked to be excused and I got up and started heading out the door. But the instant I got up, I started to feel lightheaded and got black spots in my vision. The more I walked, the harder it was to see. It grew to an extent where I couldnt tell where I was going and I felt like I would pass out. Fearing another bloody, head-cracking incident, I decided to sit down to try and regain my bearings. It wasnt enough as I was still slowly losing conscious. I ended up lying in the fetal position on the floor right outside the mens bathroom. From there, I waited for help. But it would be a while before I would receive any. In my blurred vision, I saw one, then two, then three, people pass by without a speaking a word to the pale guy lying on the ground in the middle of the hallway. However, what really sickened me (bad pun) was the fact that one girl mocked me by saying, You comfortable down there?. My heart dropped. I seriously wanted to get up and punch that girl upside the face. I couldnt believe what I had heard. I was lying there on the ground in the fetal position and she was making fun of me. Then she just walked away. Eventually, a teacher came to get me and I was sent home. I just thought it was really sad how people didnt even try to help me. Really disappointing. Please do the right thing and ask if the person lying on the floor is OK. Thanks. Tl;DR: I was lying on the hallway in the fetal position barely conscious, three people passed by me without a word, fourth mocks me; disappointing. Please don’t ignore people when they’re in trouble. Thanks.
