GUJRANWALA WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPANY Job Description: HR Position Title: Senior Manager Operations Department: Operations Reports To: General Manager Operations/Managing Director Location: Head Office Services: Operations Department Team Key Responsibilities / Result Areas: 1. Managing Waste Collection operations. 2. Ensure adequate temporary storage capacity by placement of containers and waste bins and timely lifting. 3. Ensure Door to Door collection system is in place in all urban U/Cs. 4. Managing manual sweeping by ensuring attendance of sanitary workers. 5. Mechanized sweeping continued on designated roads. 6. Mechanical washing of squares/streets/walk ways etc. 7. Ensure the process of establishment of water hydrants for international contractors. 8. Coordinate with concerned department for vetting of landfill design. 9. Coordinate with concerned department for timely start of pre-qualification of construction firms and award of contract. 10. Coordinate with concerned department for timely commencement of civil works for establishment of landfill. 11. Ensure timely completion of infrastructure works and at the landfill site. 12. Coordinate with concerned department for timely procurement of land for construction of transfer station. 13. Manage the construction / renovation of waste enclosures. 14. Efficiently monitor SWM operations of International contractors and GWMC. 15. Monitoring of SWM operations through video call. 16. International contractors monitoring through third party validation (TPV). 17. Ensure smooth functioning of complaint re-dressal system. 18. Ensure preparation, implementation and monitoring of SWM plans for special occasions. 19. Implement of Hospital waste Management plan. 20. Implementation of C&D waste Management plan. 21. Implementation of industrial waste Management plan. 22. Supervise the study on recycling and reuse of waste in Gujranwala through consultant. 23. Supervise the study on main streaming of SWM operations of private housing societies. 24. Lead the designing and coordinate in outsourcing of SWM operation in other cities of Punjab. 25. Assist MD to explore efficient waste disposal options. Education: Minimum sixteen (16) years of Education with background solid waste experience. The relevant degrees are preferably MS. Civil or Environment Engineering or Sciences / Master in any other discipline. Experience: Must have 5-8 years in the relevant field. Age: Maximum 45 years
