What if Jesus said to you, Either choose Me or your friends? Hmmmm....if your friends are on a path of destruction, He actually has said that. Fighting off the enemy is hard enough without hanging out with people who see nothing wrong with ungodliness. You may say...but I dont do the things they do. Maybe you havent, but if you continue to put yourself in that line of fire, eventually you will get burned. Not only that, but if you continue to fellowship with them while they continue in ungodliness, you are nonverbally telling them that its ok. It doesnt mean that you dont love them anymore. It just means you love Christ more, and who knows? They may see that drive in you, and desire to know more. If we expect to have peace in our lives, we have to totally surrender to Him. That means we comprehend the fact that He is sufficient. We dont need anyone elses approval. If we care more about what our so called friends think than we care about what Christ thinks...well, we may want to reevaluate our salvation. We have got to comprehend our worth and understand Gods acceptance and love for us. In doing that, we overcome the need to be validated by others. When we fully understand and acknowledge the fact the God considers us His masterpiece, we learn to love ourselves, and we dont need the approval of anybody else.
