Gals, I want to share with you what happened to one of my JillFit Ambassadors, Jill Jacobs, owner of Jill Jacobs - Lifestyle Coaching recently. Jill has been coaching with me for a few years now, and throughout that time, she has worked really hard to build her brand and services and offer amazing value and education to women for fat loss. Her business started under the name Simply Lean Consulting and just a couple weeks ago, she was approached by someone who trademarked the phrase simply lean and this person contacted Facebook directly and FB shut down Jills business page with no warning, even though shed worked hard to get several thousand followers and fans, not to mention has helped so many over that time. It was heartbreaking and I really hated it for Jill. Because who trademarks simply lean? Isnt that just a common phrase? Crazy, right?! Buuuuuut, despite all that, Jill took the whole thing in stride and did her best to CHOOSE a positive attitude even in the midst of having to completely rebrand and change her entire website and start a brand new FB page from scratch. She chose not to be a victim and instead really leaned into the struggle and wow, I am so proud of the way she handled it, even when the person making the claim had no following or fan base to speak of, and Jill could have totally chosen to be a victim. She held her head high and moved forward with hope and positivity. Jill is a great teacher, a complete sweetheart and totally knows her stuff.
