Ganguly , ganguly , ganguly ! why do people praise him , wat did he do such great when compared to x & Y ? well to answer that in short when ganguly took up captaincy India were at crisis ( match fixing , no unity , loosing matches etc ) and more 1 factor is that India were at NO 8 position in rankings , yes guys no . 8 that is JUST ABOVE ZIMBABWE !! now that answers the question y India played a lot against Zimbabwe during gangulys captaincy , and when dada resigned or forced to resign captaincy India were no.3 in rankings ! hmm , from no 8 to no 3 ( just below England , Australia ) in span of five Years India travelled a lot FOWARD under ganguly this shows u why still 6 years after ganguly made a exit from competitive cricket people still love him , people easily criticize him without knowing his efforts he did to team India saute to the legend - SC Ganguly Stats courtesy : ICC - International Cricket Council Info courtesy : Indian National Cricket Team
