Garden Tip: With some of the coldest temperatures of the winter - TopicsExpress

Garden Tip: With some of the coldest temperatures of the winter coming in the next 18 hours, and with a stout wind pushing it all along, it merits a repeat of an earlier post. “Wind chill” doesn’t kill plants. It’s the actual temperature that determines a plant’s Hardiness Zone. Of course, wind can cause burned leaves at any temperature (even spring and summer), so it isn’t your plants’ best friend, but don’t worry if you’re hearing that the wind chill tonight will drop to, or below zero (depending on where you are). Stay focused on the actual temperature.
