Gave a referral to a friend, for a local landscaping company who has been in Mansfield for years. He hired the contractor and paid him. The contractor then sub contracted the landscaping work to someone else. The contractor evidently wrote them a hot check after he deposited the money into his own bank account. The sub contractor has been harassing my friend about the money. The sub contractor also did $500.00 worth of damage to the friends sprinkler system, etc. My friend wont call the initial contractor because he doesnt want to even deal with the likes of him or his business associates. Moral of the story: Never pay in full until the work is done and all is on the up and up!!! Ridiculous!!!!
