Geder in Vegetable farming. IS there any anything worth learning from this study? women empowerment in new alternative vegetabble farming and vegetable farming as business-increased confidence for women-increased bargaining power within household and community--increased respect--women are more active to voice their issues. There is a strong corelation between men mobility to work off-farm and increase elder women to engage vegetable farming. If farmers continue practising industrial inputs ( chemecal pesticide and fertilizers) in their vegetable farming, who will be receiving this negative impact? I say women in this particular case. Farmers in Kampong Thom (Sroyov Commune) is now moving their vegetable farming from field to homestead land. if this trend continues and they practice conventional vegetable farming, IMAGINE to what extent the impact it has on household and community health.
