Georgia Weather History for April 5th In 2011, an intense northeast to southwest oriented squall line of thunderstorms accompanied a cold front that moved through north and central Georgia. Nearly every county received at least one severe thunderstorm warning during this event and nearly every county experienced extensive wind damage from these thunderstorms. During this event, an EF-2 tornado tracked across northern Dodge County. It destroyed a double-wide mobile home, killing one of the residents. Near the end of the tornado path, another mobile home had its roof and front porch destroyed
