His ministry has included the planting and pastoring of two home mission churches, the first of which began in a remodeled horse shed. He has been a full-time evangelist and has preached in camp meetings and at all ten colleges or universities of the Church of the Nazarene in USA and Canada. Dr. Shaver has conducted over 800 preaching missions and preached at the headquarters of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He has taught evangelism in Johannesburg, South Africa; Manila, Philippines; Seoul, Korea; and Moscow, Russia.
