Get ready for todays plea for someone to help a sad old girl in need... What TGPR thought we were getting from the San Antonio shelter was a 1 year old female Pyr, in good health. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it was! We now need to find a foster for this lovely, and SUPER SWEET, female of undetermined age (one guess was 5, another was 8). Either way, shes an older gal, and she has some sort of hip or back issues that are making her weak in the back end. The shelter just spayed and vaccinated her and she is miraculously heartworm negative, so at least she caught that break. As soon as we line up a foster we will get her to a vet in the fosters area and have her checked out so we can figure out a plan for addressing her medical situation. So if any of you have a soft spot for elderly Pyrs who need a little extra TLC, please let us know ASAP. Right now shes still at the shelter and thats certainly not the best environment for this sweetheart to get well. She seems to be fine with other dogs and clearly loves people. I would guess at her age and with her limited mobility, she wont be a cat chaser either. So if youve got a house with minimal steps to go outside and a soft bed inside, for this girl to rest on as we figure out a plan to help her out, please let us know.
