Please consider a donation here: youcaring/pet-expenses/senior-dachshunds-abandoned-alone/234528 THE SENIOR DACHSHUNDS NEED YOU NOW! Getalong Dachshund Rescue intake is now CLOSED until we have all recently rescued seniors fully funded here: youcaring/pet-expenses/senior-dachshunds-abandoned-alone/234528 GDR steps up for the seniors. We love seniors. We started a rescue to help seniors. So when you ask and we say yes, then we need help to vet them. We arent shelter strollers or puppy flippers. This means we have very few adoption donations to pay vet bills. We are a senior and medical dog rescue. Our senior & medical dogs visit proper vets, not spay/neuter hatchet shops. The average seniors costs $500-1000 to vet. This includes vaccines, spay/neuter, blood work, antibiotics for various untreated infections and DENTALS! Many of our seniors are in long term foster homes, which we provide monthly meds, often special diets and flea & heartworm prevention. Consider purchasing a t-shirt to help fund the monthly costs of sanctuary dachshunds here: teespring/getalongdoxie Recent medical intakes 1) Dolche-TEXAS thought to have flea allergy, turned out to be neuropathy and severe arthritis which required over a week at Veterinarians Dental and followed by laser therapy, crate rest and meds. 2) Etta-TEXAS senior in good health but NEEDING a dental 3) Dakota-GEORGIA, transported to Florida IVDD & heartworm positive, paid via a mostly funded youcaring 4) Greta-TEXAS senior stray with thryoid issue and severe eye infections 5) Sissy-TEXAS senior owner surrender, dental disease, former breeder and ear infections 6) Annabelle-FLORIDA owner surrender for a new puppy.
