Getting it right doesnt mean you are really good at having - TopicsExpress

Getting it right doesnt mean you are really good at having willpower or you become SO disciplined...that may work for a while, but it certainly isnt the foundation for a satisfying life. Personally, I dont have awesome willpower. Its not about that. I enjoy food and I cant say that somehow I magically stopped loving cookies along the way. You know what: there is a coffee shop next door to the Studio. I often get hungry when I am at work, but not once has it been a temptation for me to go there and pick up a muffin for a snack. This is NOT because I am better or have more discipline than the average person or that I dislike muffins or pastries! I prefer to choose what is good for me, both physically and mentally. I have a reason for my choices that goes beyond just getting skinnier or sticking to my diet. I dont go buy a muffin for the same reason that I dont go get a cigarette or a beer when Im tired or depressed. Those things just dont fit into my life. I choose to not make a habit of them. And for that reason, I rarely have to rely on just willpower on a daily basis. Getting it right means choosing to do what works for YOU and actually enjoying doing it :)
