Getting rid of true friend ! I wrote-“ Yes, social activism requires faith in oneself, persistence, ability to withstand hurt and humiliation, infinite patience and a fair degree of eccentricity. Without seeming boastful, I seem to have the requisite qualities. The Kidney racket case will prove it once again.” One Sri Pankaj Kumar, who probably belongs to Lucknow commented-“Mr Amitabh, you do not have any of these traits. Such hollow self-praise on Facebook does not seem proper.” I wrote-“Met SSP Lucknow today. He assured FIR and further action in the Kidney racket case.” Sri Pankaj commented-“You should have instead met the Chief Minister, so that you came prove useful for his party some time in future.” Friend Sri Vineet Verma shared link of a news “Complaint to DGP in Facebook Kidney Racket case” published on his news portal Pardaphash Sri Pankaj commented-“How many achievements do you have as a police officer which might be counted or appreciated. A complete zero, only feigning and hollow show.” I do not contradict any of the statements made by Sri Pankaj and it is quite possible that he might be correct in each of his words but when I got fully convinced that Sri Pankaj is not only a great truth-lover and an intelligent person but is also a ‘true friend’ of mine who carrying extremely lovely feelings about me, I decided to block him on FB to save myself from his daily doses of vitriolic truths because through my long experience of life I have come to the conclusion that while everyone needs to have critics around him, one shall strictly avoid the company of such people who have proved again and again to have a clear antipathy towards you. Such a company is bound to prove dangerous to health and happiness at the same time.
