Ghana has become lawless - Dr. Kwabena Adjei The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei, has bemoaned the level of lawlessness in the country, which according to him, could disrupt the stability of the nation. He expressed fears that arson could be the cause of the recent market fires in the capital, noting that such actions could breed intolerance for government and has the tendency of derailing the country’s democracy. In an interview with Citi News, Dr. Kwabena Adjei charged the security agencies to be ruthless in their investigations and arrest the culprits. “I want them to trace the culprits and bring them to book immediately. Like the Nigerians will say, with immediate alacrity to prevent this kind of situation from happening,” he added. According to him, some persons in the country “want it [Ghana] to become lawless and this is the situation that leads to the imposition of emergency measures that sometimes translate to the intolerance of government.” Dr. Kwabena Adjei warned: “the democracy we are enjoying is the best that we can have anywhere and they should not disturb it.”
