The family became convinced that their home had been overrun by supernatural spirits when they heard strange noises on the roof late every evening for a week. However, every time the family checked the source of the strange noises, they found nothing and came to believe ghosts were haunting their house, local Arabic daily Al Rai reported on Sunday. Family members suggested calling in spiritual figures to help “cleanse” the house and restore peace and calm. The mother eventually contacted the police and requested their assistance in getting rid of the ghosts. During a thorough search of the house, the servicemen entered a rooftop room that the family had abandoned and did not use for extended periods of time, the report said. There, the police found the woman’s 15-year-old son with a girl, 17, who told the police she had absconded from her home a week earlier and that her “boyfriend” had agreed to host her.
